It's time for a break.... And this is what I have decided to do......

Drop in daily for an update.... I will be getting my private pilot's license!!!
First day of school and training is September 1st, 2006 in Orlando.

WOOT Got a picture of my shirt today! For those who don't know... When you solo, they cut out the back of your shirt and write or draw shit on it... use to be like a head stone with oil and grease... to ward off crashes and such... but these days more clubs or school just make them FUNNY...

During my 3 take off / 3 landing solo, several UN NORMAL things happened at the airport!

1. On my first take off I was instally told by the tower to keep flying away from the airport a few miles, the FAA was flying over in a minute to check the new ILS system.... so i flew out few extra miles, and returned for plain jane landing...

2. Second take off - FAA guy gone finally... YEAH we can fly normal now! So on approach, I am like 400 feet above the runway and 4 LARGE Sand Hill Cranes decide to stroll across the middle of the runway.... Tower calls - "You might want to do a go around Cessna 477JK... 4 Cranes midfield!!!" - So i give it the juice and go around.... Second pass... Plain Jane Landing right on the numbers...

3. Third one... gotta be normal right??? NOT!!!
So I take off, climb out and bank west as i get to 700 feet... Make a right turn and get center field and report in to the tower. Letting know them I am center field and ready to land... He clears me to land and no other traffic ahead of me.. YEAH gonna be noraml run this time... then I hear...the tower calling the plane that took off behind me telling them they are really low and should climb and bank right into the pattern.... They reply... just a second we got a little smoke in the cockpit!.... I was like O SHIT.... Tower immediately calls me... Cessna 447JK... need you to bank left immediately and head out over the water towers for a long 360.... I replied back... Copied the emergency banking left yielding to traffic.... So I did hard left to clear the way... she buzzed on by and she got landed and her radios went poof... but she was fine... So once things settle on the ground, tower calls me and says thank you for the quick response 477jk you are now cleared to land... They failed to notice the winds had shifted direction and was like a 14knot TAIL WIND!!! Piece of cake... I landed just fine...

Cool as a cuccumber... I think my instructor was a little nervous!!! HEHEH

Love it.. laters gang!
